Focus2Learn Research
Focus2Learn has been clinically researched and tested over the past 5 years. It has been used across the nation in the No Child Left Behind after school tutoring programs. Thousands of children’s foundational learning skills have improved through using our Focus2Learn program.
Focus2Learn Tests Performed
These test scores are important because they show an improved and lasting change in a child’s neurological process. Through movement based activities in Focus2Learn, a child will gain new skills to help them achieve success in school and in life. These changes may help in:
- Improving attention span
- Improving reading speed
- Increasing focus
- Improving motor coordination
- Raising grades
Information was obtained through direct observation, parent interview, sensory processing questionnaire, and the following tests:
- Developmental Test of Visual-Motor Integration (VMI): The VMI measures how well the child translates with her hand what she visually perceives. This test is standardized for ages 3 to adult.
- The VMI Developmental Test of Visual Perception: This test measures how well the child visually perceives a form she is looking at through a matching activity. This test is standardized ages 3 to adult.
- The VMI Developmental Test of Motor Coordination: This test measures a child’s motor coordination through a tracing activity. This test is standardized for ages 3 to adult.
- Quick Neurological Screening Test II: The Quick Neurological Screening Test II (QNST-II) is a screening instrument designed to assess areas of neurological integration and detect soft neurological signs often associated with learning disabilities.
